15 years and Coutning.

Hey, hey, I'm Akili! Some of you may know me as the Art & Athletics guy. For over two years now, I have been sharing my journey via YouTube, which has over one million views.

At 15, I had a big idea and the mechanics to pursue it, but sadly, I didn’t have the confidence to complete the trifecta. It would take about another 15 years before I could start to move fear out of the way, but at 30, I took the hop (the skip and the jump were on the way) and stopped letting fear control me.

In 2012, I started working as a background on Netflix’s series House of Cards. This was very symbolic because unconsciously, I was still in that frame of mind—playing in the background. That would need to change.

At 35, I took the skip of faith and entered Atlantic Acting School. Although this was another big step in realizing my childhood dream of becoming a filmmaker, it was still only the tip of the iceberg. I was eventually having a film on all platforms, even my own.

Now at 43,  after doing a little traveling and a lot of talking to the man in the mirror. I’ve decided to change my ways and return to my place of birth - Washington DC, and truly galvanize the depths of my mind, body, and soul, whilst returning to being an online teacher, guide, and collaborate with those who would like to become universally fresh.

Make it stand out.
